CLIMBING TROMBONE ZUCCHINI
Climbs like a Pole Bean. Produces by the Ton!
Our special variety of zucchini climbs like a pole bean and produces dozens of tender fruits that have long, curled, slender necks and a bulbous base, shaped like a trombone. Plants start to bear fruit within 60 days of planting. They start off a pale green and turn beige when mature, like a butternut squash. The young fruit can be sliced and eaten raw like a regular zucchini or left to form a hard shell and eaten in fall like a winter squash. Each fruit grows to two feet long, yielding up to 300 zucchini slices.
